EE 1.5.1

October 30th, 2006 by Paul

Two new hosted sites -

Welcome to CowTownPugs - a group of people involved in Pugs and Pug rescue
Welcome to WorkingMommies - a blog for new Moms who are chosing, or have to work

Every one should be running Expression Engine 1.5.1 now, leave a message if you are not.

Sub domains fixed!

March 10th, 2006 by Paul

For a while now, none of my subdomains, including my Mums blog have really worked. For some reason, the CSS wouldn’t apply, even though the content was all there in it’s unformatted glory.

This morning, my brother pointed out that going to http://blogroll.org did the same thing, even when http://www.blogroll.org was fine. I got in touch with my host, as I’d been blaming it on Expression Engine in the past, and that sounded more like a hosting issue.

It wasn’t either ... turns out I’d managed to put something in the blacklist in EE that was blocking it through my .htaccess. Removing the .htaccess worked fine, but left me wide open for referrer spam.

So I added my own domain to the whitelist, and hey presto! Subdomains now work.

So, back after a rather long delay are:

http://wedding.blogroll.org
http://pugblog.blogroll.org
http://margaret.blogroll.org

Domain moved

January 10th, 2006 by Paul

Everything that was http://www.blogrolled.com is now http://www.blogroll.org

Subdomains and sub blogs are to be setup.

All email contacts should now be going to the same accounts, at the blogroll.org domain instead.

Expression Engine 1.4.0

December 18th, 2005 by Paul

Expression Engine 1.4.0 is released. If you are running it on this hosting, and it is not reporting 1.4.0 as a version number when you login, please let me know.

Moved

July 12th, 2005 by Paul

This blog has now moved to a different account, under a different copy of Expression Engine. It’s actually now hosted under my http://www.blogrolled.com domain and EE install, and isn’t stand alone anymore.

This makes my life easier, but doesn’t affect yours.

Yes, I know there is a PHP on the comments page here. Something in the coments plugin that this template calls on has changed with EE 1.3, and I’ve not gotten around to updating the code yet. This will happen!

Still here

No, I haven’t forgotten to keep updating here with problems ... there simply haven’t been any! All servers have been running fine with no notable downtime, I’ve added a few friends accounts into this space, and all is ticking along smoothly.

Servers down

February 11th, 2005 by Paul

Timberwolves had some downtime this afternoon when a user hogged too many resources.

At present there appears to be some SQL problem that is affecting http://www.blogrolled.com, but I have notified the admin’s.

Nameserver changes

January 12th, 2005 by Paul

If you were using blogroll.co.uk for your nameserver, change it to blogrolled.com, it seems to be a bit more reliable than the .co.uk domain’s were ...

Resolved

The below hardware issue has been resolved!

Slow access

December 6th, 2004 by Paul

If at anytime you have problems accessing this site, or hosted sites here, don’t worry. There is a known hardware problem on Timberwolves that is spiking the memory usage. Psek are aware of it and working to resolve it. I’ll update when I know anything.
